Staying warmth is a necessity of life
Wherever you live, there is a strong chance you will need some sort of heater in your life. Extreme cold can cause illness, injury or possibly death, and fact inhabitants in northern and southern arctic regions know only too well.
Heating processes are designed to product and regulate thermal conditions in a multitude of situations within buildings for industrial use, and of course comfort.
Choosing which heater to keep you warm depends of a host of variables and preferences, as well as cost. Below is a list of the choices you have when deciding how you are going to stay warm;
Convection heaters
This form of heater provides background warmth. They primarily warm the air neat the element or body of the heater, with the air then circulating by natural convection around the room. Panel heaters are a type of convection heater which are mounted on a wall and wired electrically.
Portable fan heaters
These heaters sit on the floor and provide a constant flow of warm air directly onto whichever direction it is facing. They aren’t as effective as general convection heaters, but are useful to heat up a particular space.
Radiant heaters
Radiant heaters have glowing electric elements with reflective bars which radiant heat directly onto a particular area, similarly to portable fan heaters. They provide instant directional heat to a small area of a room whilst providing small amounts of convectional heat.
Heat Pumps
Heat pumps are the more expensive forms of heater available, and collect heat from the air outside the house and transport it inside. Although powered by electricity, they collect far more energy than they use, and the colder it is outside, the less efficient they become.
A good, cheaper alternative to purchasing a heater is to rent one. HSS Hire offer many different forms of heater hire, all at reasonable prices.
Make sure you stay warm this winter.
