“Where are financial trends going?”

 

It is often hard to use the “usual” tools out there to predict where financial markets, mortgage rates, and interest rates are going these days.  More and more companies are looking outside the scope of industry tools and one software program that is turning heads is The Internet Time Machine.  The cloud compuing software monitors supply demand curve inefficiencies from around the world and looks for what people are looking for but can’t find.  By monitor search volume (demand) and then looking at supply (think Google “results”), the software can monitor what people are looking for, yet are having trouble finding.  Many firms are now using this technology and applying to the stock market, interest rates, and equity moves.  By looking something like the search term “need a job” or “find a job” has been an accurate predictor of future unemployment numbers, which when annouced, can move the market.  Online niche marketing software is being used to front run the markets, bet stocks up or down, or get a feel for where mortgage rates may be headed.
