Balustrades have attained an almost universal importance when it comes to house building and house decoration. In fact, balustrades are not a recent architectural phenomenon. The history of balustrades can be traced back to the great Roman Empire when the ruling elite started building huge mansions and palaces with these balustrades as a major feature of the external and internal architecture.
